DeAndre and Shawnda realized they had to figure out another way to talk to their classmates.
"Maybe we can rig up our own communication system to keep in touch," said DeAndre. He pulled out a book on the history of communication.
"Look at this," said Shawnda. "In prehistoric times, people used drums to send messages."
DeAndre chuckled. "I guess you could call that a tom-tom telegram."
