
In
this sequel to the "Sea Monster's Darkest
Night", the escapade continues 20 years
later. The sea monster is seeking revenge for
being placed in a parade and separated from
his father. He meets up with his friend Max
and learns and important lesson about not seeking
revenge.
Meryl has written
illustrated and published her own books. Her
first book, "My New Friend" was self-published
at the age of 10 years old; her second book,
"The sea Monster's Darkest Night",
was published by Miligan Books. Meryl's book
have been on display at the Inglewood Public
Library, and she has attended numerous book
signings, including the L.A. Festival of Books
at UCLA. She was acknowledged by Los Angeles
Times in 2000 as part of the 100 most Remarkable
Kids recognition and presented with a medal.
In addition to
illustrating and writing books, Meryl has created
her own comic book production. She attended
Comics 101 at West L.A. College i n 1999. She
graduated from Kaos Network's Digital Arts Program
in 2002 where she animated four cartoons. Meryl
and her sister Miya have conducted many workshops
for children ages 5-16 on how to create books
using an arts and craft marbelized-book process.
